Greetings from Great Exuma,

We have been in Great Exuma now since November 11th. The church we planted (Clear Water Assembly of God) is now a year old and doing well very well. The Lord has guided the church so it is strong and vibrant in love and unity. We had 3 people show up at the first service we had last November. We now have around 45 people attending the church.

Three weeks ago we had a special guest speaker minister by the name of Lewis McCowen. Bro Lewis was the director of the Caribbean School of Theology for 20 years. He now travels to different islands to assist in raising up leaders to grow the church. During his visit, we discussed the need for the training up of pastor’s and leaders here in Exuma. We have agreed to partner to start a school of Theology in Exuma. Those who attend the school and receive the appropriate credit hours shall receive their credentials. The first semester starts January 15, 2010.

This past week, Minister Miki Earle conducted three nights of Bible teaching at Clear Water and then Friday evening and Saturday a women’s conference. We have received fantastic feedback and testimonies as a result of her teaching and ministering. Word had got out about her teaching; on Thursday, the last night of her teaching, we had three Pastors from different churches and some of their leadership in attendance. At a time when some Pastors and televangelist are sharing a rosy, feel good type of Gospel message, Miki spoke God’s Word in truth and love. Additionally, for the Women’s conference, we flew in Worship leader Renardo Sweeting from Living Waters AG in Freeport, Bahamas to lead worship with the Clear Water Worship team.

Friday, we took the tender to Long Island to get Pastor Jim Fox and 9 others from his church. We took them back Saturday afternoon. Most of the women at Clear Water put much time and effort into preparation for the teaching and conference. Saturday morning they provided a nice breakfast for the Long Island team. Sis Trifene Smith catered a wonderful lunch to all the lady’s at the conference.

Last Sunday Pastor Margo Victor ministered a very encouraging word titled “It’s time to build”. We had 41 people in attendance for the service.

Every Saturday morning, there is prayer at 5:30 a.m. at the church. This past Saturday, a new believer came to the prayer meeting. He is 49 years old and he has had no hearing in one of his ears for many years. We prayed over him and commanded his ear to open in the name of Jesus. Sunday morning he testified that he could hear clearly out of the ear. He also had no use of his right arm because he had no elbow. He did not request healing for the arm but God gave him a creative miracle by giving him an elbow resulting in full use of his arm. We intend to interview him and post it on YouTube. To God be the Glory!

Clear Water has grown so fast that we are now negotiating with the building owner to double our space size. 2 Acres of land has been donated to the church and we hope to put the footings and slab in this winter for our new sanctuary.

There is excitement within Clear Water and we desire to see that continue. We will continue to do outreach into the different settlements in the island bringing food and clothing.

In His Service,

Bro Kevin Gagnon
